Rowood BV has been established on 14 December 1973. In the first years of our existence we mainly operated as a subcontractor for the emballage - and fruitboxes industry. By innovating and providing products of high quality to the processing industry, we acquired ourselves a legitimacy. Beginning of the eighties we opened our first warehouse/ distribution centre in Dreumel. The trade activities increased in a steady pace.

As a result of the many years of cooperation with a Spanish supplier, we, after some years, got the sale rights for their Popular Plywood that was manufactured in their new plywood-factory. A few years later, in 1988, we were appointed as exclusive representative of, the also new, MDF-factory Industrias del Tablero S.A. (Intasa) in the North Spanish San Saturniño.

From our founding onwards, we have also maintained narrow trade relations with Masonite Africa Ltd., producers of the very well known Masonite Oil Tempered hardboard.
