Notes:
Softboard is porous and thereby absorbs sound. It is moisture sensitive. Softboards can undergo additional treatments making it more moisture-proof and fireproof. To make it fireproof brown amosietasbest is often added.
 

Applications:

• construction of ceilings and partition walls
• fillings for doors
• as background for stucco
• as message board
• if the board is equipped with holes and slits is very suitable as noise-absorbing material (dampening)
• as soundproofing under laminate parquet
• as fireplace or barbecue lighter (pretreated with paraffin)
