Western Red Cedar Fascia Boards Laminated/Fingerjointed Primed

Western Red Cedar is a type of wood that is durable and lightweight and falls under class 2 sustainability.
It is a type of wood that has little shrinkage which means that aplied paint and lacquer will adhere well.
The base coat consists of 2 layers: a 1st layer of oil-based alkyd and a 2nd layer based on acrylic latex (water-based).
The wood is rift sawn and this prevents raising grain if there are any moisture problems.
It is an excellent product that can be used for exterior use, such as trim, barge and fascia boards.
The product should be processed with good sharp hand tools and only be mounted with aluminum or stainless steel screws and nails.
When this product is being used it is necessary to seal the cut edges with a good edge sealer and to ensure proper ventilation. If the wood is painted and well maintained it will  have a very long lifespan.
